Healthy and local holiday tasting events

The holiday party season has begun, and Rose & Mary’s social calendar has been full. We’ve been keeping our festivities healthy and local, partnering with independent businesses in the neighborhood that share our philosophy of clean living and treating yourself right.

On November 24, we teamed up with Beauty Works, a holistic medispa in Crouch End specializing in the latest in anti-ageing science, to host a tasting event. Between Beauty Works’ uplifting treatments and Rose & Mary’s healing food, it was a day dedicated to pampering inside and out.

In the lively atmosphere of our favourite Muswell Hill hangout, the Victoria Stakes gastropub, guests raved about the flavour of our dishes as well as the beauty benefits of avoiding gluten and sugar. Their praise extended into the Twitterverse, where one fan wrote:

“An evening of gorgeous food & healthy living inspiration. I'm officially hooked” ...

and another, live-tweeting the event, said: “I am at this, and so far it's bloody delicious.”

Returning to the covered Victorian Courtyard of the Victoria Stakes on December 1, we joined YogaCentric, a new hot yoga and Pilates studio in Crouch End, for another tasting event that was quickly booked up with enthusiastic yogis.

In addition to loving our clean food, YogaCentric guests appreciated our mindfulness of the environment, from our “no waste” approach in the kitchen to our use of electric bikes and biodegradable packaging.

Yogis took to Twitter to share their gratitude:

@roseandmaryfood thank you for a lovely meal and thank you @yogacentric for the hook up. Definitely going to be ordering soon!”

Among the crowds at our tasting events were several beloved customers who came out especially to meet us, though they already knew and loved our food. We were so pleased to see them in person and to hear the best compliment of all: "WOW I really love you, your food, your ethos!"
